doom section

Here are my finished Doom maps, not many considering the time I've been into Doom editing. Besides, most of them are quite old, but were never released before. Anyway feel free to check them out, I promise some more new work soon.

The DM maps were made some time ago, you might still enjoy them if you like small maps. They were waiting in my HD because they were supposed to be included in a bigger project that will probably never see the light. So now that the Présage site has been inaugurated, I've decided to upload them.

Most of my doom mapping was done during the CyberDreams project development. You can find more about it in the CyD page.

I'm currently working on two more deathmatch maps that should be ready in a near future. Visit the projects section for more about it.

Release date: Sep 29, 2001

Description:
Small map (2-4 players). What's most unexpected here is the way to get to the plasma gun tower, thus the name of the wad (see the first screenshot).

Kammerkonzert

Build date: Jan 18, 1998
Release date: Sep 29, 2001
Port: original doom2.exe

Description:
Again, small map (2-4 players), probably just 1on1. A simple central zone, with a dark corridor on each side. That's all. I wasn't really satisfied with this map, but Albert convinced me to include it here. So all complaints go to him! :)

This map was submitted to the 10sector contest. And was included in the final megawad as map08. :)

It features a lot of sector changes (9 out of 10 sectors move, some of them several times in different sections of the map). As a consequence, the map sometimes behaves unexpectedly. But in exchange you can see areas with totally different sector heights. Compare the starting room, the yellow key area, and the final section with the cybers. Not easy, believe me!

I'm still happy with the results, though focusing so much in technical aspects made the map a little weak in playability. You are warned.

This map begins and ends with sections inspired in CyberDreams :), something that was a big challenge to do with only 10 sectors!

Description:
Frenzy is a very small map, CyD style, uploaded as a Christmas gift for the Doom community. It's intense and stressing, but can be finished in less than half a minute. You can find some demos at Opulent's DSDA.
