linksDoom resourcesDoomed Speed Demos Archive. Doug 'Opulent' Merrill's great contribution to the Doom demoscene. Almost all the submitted demos are welcome there, no matter how good you are, which pwad you're playing or which port you're using. At the DSDA, the players are _always_ more important than the demos themselves... Probably THE starting point for any 'lmp-addict'. Public Demo Archive of the Non-Gods. Not good enough for joining the Compet-N ranks? Ralf Schreivogel and Arno Slagboom have been maintaining this page for years in order to give Doom players the chance to show their playing abilities. Needless to say that a look at the contest section is always well worth it. Compet-N Home Page. Just the cream. 99% of the best, quickest and most impressing demos ever made have been posted here. Adam Hegyi also manages to keep a huge database up to date. Only the original engines are allowed. For some time past the page also holds the best demos for the top-5 megawads. Ledmeister's Doom page. A 'must have' link in every way. Tons of documentation, walkthroughs and demos for all the maps, cheats, secrets, map lists... And don't miss the Odd demos section! Doom2.net. Your online resource for Classic Doom2 information, files, and links! -yes, I copy/paste 'd the line, so what? :) The title says it all... Quake Done Quick. By visiting all the sub-sections on the QDQ page you will not be wasting your time. On the contrary! :) There's a little space for Doom here too. Brad Spencer page; maps and demos. Brad is a fine level designer who has some splendid Doom, Q1 and Q2 maps to check out there, as well as an 'Episode one clones' section, with most of the pwads based on the 'Knee Deep in the Dead' levels theme. If you want to relive (heh) those sensations, take a look at Brad's list. The Mole's Lair [no longer available]. Wim Vanrie's contribution to the Doom community. Organizer of multiple lmp competitions and projects, author of several good sp maps, and a skilled speedrunner as well. Worth a visit! Doomworld's Speedmapping exercises. A weekly challenge for all mapmakers (a theme a week). Speed does not have anything to do with playing this time, but with editing! Doom and Doom2 under the Quake2 engine. A complete conversion of all Ultimate Doom and Doom 2 maps for Quake2. You may find better Doom links on other pages. I put these instead. :) MusicThe Gibraltar Encyclopedia of Progressive Rock. Ground and Sky: a progressive rock informational resource. The ARChive of Contemporary Music. Page of the RIO band Univers Zero. The totalzoo main site is also full of sub-sections for most of the outstanding RIO bands (Present, Henry Cow, Art Zoyd, Magma, U Totem...) Wow. :) Elephant Talk. The Robert Fripp and King Crimson web site. G. Schirmer Inc.'s composers pages. You can also visit George Antheil's page, one of my favourite American contemporary composers. Evolution, Linearity, and Closure in Jazz History. Imo, a clever view of all what Jazz means... EmulationW.O.S. (World of Spectrum). The official (and biggest) Speccy archive around the net. Planet Sinclair. The web's most complete Sinclair-related archive. Mame.net. Official Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator site, and Mame.dk, the best arcade rom repository (among other resources). EmuUnlim.com. A complete emulation site, although it is easy to find other sites as good as this one. Old-Computers.com! If you want to know why you're now using a powerful P4 1.2Ghz 256Mb RAM (or whatever), read a bit about computer history... :) OtherAS3 Newsgroup. I used to think it would be impossible for me to become a quitter. All the people who joins this group made me change my mind... You may also read the AS3's F.A.Q.. If you're interested on some more links relating this matter, ask for them. Smoking Cessation. The first step... One day at a time... All my gratitude goes to Gonzalo |
